The organisation was started by Michael McCann who himself was debanked by Nat West bank in mid 2023. His plight to find out why this happened led to frustration at every stage. The bank would not inform him as to why the account had been closed and he couldn’t open another bank account. His struggles over the subsequent months led him to write this website to help others through the minefield that is banking regulations, the ICO, FCA and CIFAS. Having learnt so much along the way he wants to share the information he has gained in order to help others in a similar situation.
